my name is acire! or rather, it's my internet handle (ohohoho i'm a mysterious multi-faceted character aren't i) and i choose to call myself because it's still my name ehehehe. i like to think myself a witty whippersnapper who's really clever (because my ego does love it when i touch it gently), so i chose to name myself acire because (drumroll) my name irl is erica. ehehehe. my dirty little secret exposed. acire is erica spelt backwards, chaps.

i am a rooster and an aquarius! :D born in the year 1993, february 6th, four days before my mother's own birthday, heheheh. so i am eighteen right now, turning nineteen next month! \o/ i'm still a young'un compared to the whole lot of you barring a few, so. :3 um. i don't really have much to say here ahahahha.
♦ religion
i used to go to church, actually, because one of my grandmother's friends urged us to join her and her grandson, david, in worshipping his holiness. but uh, we never really cared, honestly? it was really more of a matter of convenience, and i did make my mother drive me to church a couple times after we moved from queens, but that stopped once i just got too lazy to go, fff. so, uh. i'm not necessarily religious, but i do want to believe in a higher being. so, kind of agnostic atm. eh.
♦ sexuality/relationship status
i'm single as the wind....that's not a good analogy but yes. i am free. as a bird. i haven't ever been in a relationship, actually, so uh, we'll see if boys ever gain an interest in a fuddy-duddy like me. :3 as for sexuality, i can say that i'm um. maybe leaning towards bisexuality but not incredibly sure since i can't find any actual sexual interest in either sex, so. i'm still at this point where i go "EW PENIS" and "EW VAGINA" when i see it (although i love reading porn pfffft wow i'm so weird) so idk. i would love to say that i'm kind of a grey-A because that sounds like it really fits me more than anything, so um. yeah.

♦ school
i am in my first year of college whooooooo \o/ \o/ \o/ i just finished my first semester with a pretty good grade considering i pretty much derped around in french and writing ahahahah. i go to the university of rochester, which i think is a wonderful school (although i still have my moments of utter insecurity and jealousy about other schools blegh), so i'm happy where i am. :D if you've been with me since lj, you'll probably remember my constant rantings about school and life and school grades and getting into the perfect college and trying to kill myself doing so. i'm glad that's all behind us now. :D i was a meaner person back in high school. you guys wouldn't have liked me............
but uh, anyway. i'm a hopeful linguistics/possible psych double major, but if psych doesn't work out, i'll be definitely going into studio art ahahaha. i am like the antithesis of urochester since it's a research institution full of fuddy-duddy natural science peeps, but it's okay. i get by because i'm cool and awesome like that. i have plans for myself, although at the moment, it's really just about where i'll be living next year and what i'll be doing with myself over the summer. we'll see. it's a new year, guys, full of endless possibilities. :D
♦ favorites of television/books/games/anime/music
tv; i'm pretty chill with what i watch, tbh. i just need to be motivated enough to actually watch it. if i don't have the interest in even watching a little bit of it, i won't watch it, so. that's what happened with merlin and s6!who a few episodes in. but uh, what i've enjoyed watching during my illustrious years were bbc sherlock, generation kill (although my computer, back when it was still a poor desktop that i took to physically abusing when it wouldn't go my way bless its soul, couldn't handle its big size), merlin, doctor who (which i adored even though s6 disappointed the fuck out of me), the big bang theory (though i haven't kept up since s3 began ahaha), teen wolf (it's got its own charm okay), the vampire diaries (i couldn't stop watching it guys it's like a train wreck but i just could not stop and kdsfa;kda it's coming back this week aieeeeeee ahahaha), the nanny (dude, i watch this every time i get the urge and it's just so much fun ugh), the power rangers (i have an unholy adoration for ninja storm and dino thunder don't talk to me), and leverage! other stuff too but this is what's coming to mind right now ehehe.
books; i love reading fantasy and ya novels ahahah. i am a tween at heart okay guys. i don't have a general favorite book or favorite book series because my approach to reading has always been to go into the library, look at which of the pretty book covers interest me the most, read the blurb, and if i like it, take it away as my own. rinse and repeat. ehehehehehe. but um, authors i've enjoyed reading include terry pratchett, tamora pierce (i love love love the protector of the small quartet series okok talk to me about keladry and her wonderful life please), and uh other. people. pffft. seriously, i don't keep track of who i like, so it's never really bothered me ahaha. i love manga too, so uh. i can actually talk more about manga than i do about published fiction, which should be really sad, but whatever. i have no taste, gaiz. my mind is that of a thirteen-year-old boy/girl.
manga; i love shounen series, so shounen jump is an obvious staple for me. naruto, bleach, reborn!, d.grayman, fairy tail, blah blah blah. yeah, i know fairy tail is not part of shounen jump, but uh. we include that anyway. i also love shoujo though, guys. shoujo makes me ridic happy ahahaha. i went on a shoujo binge during the middle of senior year just to relieve my stress that's how sad i am ahahahaha. and of course, i read bl ffff. i uh like to rant about bl a lot because the plots are always completely ridiculous and stupid and i just /cannot/ with some of these mangaka sometimes for the things they write because seriously? /SERIOUSLY/? ugh. oh i also remember that i read mahou sensei negima and I LOVE IT i don't care what anybody says it's so good i can't ahahahahh somebody needs to fangirl this series with me because i cannot be the only one who likes this kind of thing ahahahaha
games; i'm not much of a gamer. i've started playing persona 4 though and it's ridic addictive, ahahaha. i've dabbled a little with tales of the abyss, kingdom hearts 2, genji: dawn of the samurai, blah blah blah. but i'm never really been much of a gamer since mumsie never really allowed me to have video games to play, fearing that they would've interfered with my homework. :| so by the time we even got a console of any kind (it was a wii), my little sister was already born and in like the second grade, asking for video games too and i had lost any remaining interest. pfft. so yeah.
anime; i used to love anime a hell of a lot before i got into kpop fffffffffff. um. i adore yu yu hakusho (and i plan to rewatch/reread this series once i have the time), rurouni kenshin (aieee childhood memories), and a lot of other toonami-run shows ffff oh hikago? hikaru no go owns my heart man iakjdkfla;skfjaksfa and welp i adored gundam wing when it was still showing ;;;
music; er. i listen to whatever mys@lj uploads, so i can't really tell you what i like?? everything i have is always on shuffle pahahahah, but uh, i like indie bands, apparently, soft rock, poppy stuff, happy go lucky music, and kpop. pfft. check my last.fm if you want more details, you'll find what i listen to there.
♦ talents
er, i have a talent for word vomiting and a propensity for foot-in-mouth disease. i don't really have a particular talent because people do things so much better than anything i could ever do so. i'm just mediocre at everything ahahha. jack of all trades!acire
♦ strange or quirky habits
i like playing with things while talking to people because human contact makes me awkward and shy. i tend to make faces at the camera rather than pose for pictures because i find it too fake and posed to be natural; i've stopped smiling in a lot of my pictures nowadays ahahaha. when i skype with people, i tend to make faces (yet again) because it's too awkward (yet again) and hard to communicate like normal people. i like to burrow myself in my blankets when i surf the internet because sitting up is too dignified for me. i uh like to keyboard smash a lot in my typing and type emoticons because they show my feelings better than words can. and i'm just really awkward in real life.
♦ languages (that you speak/are learning/want to learn)
i speak relatively fluent english although i get words mixed up sometimes, prompting the ever emphatic question, "HOW DO YOU ENGLISH????" a lot (pffft yes i am a native speaker too which is why this is so sad) and conversational cantonese. i used to be able to communicate in mandarin too, but that got lost along the way as i grew up and nobody taught me anymore (and i stopped paying attention in chinese school). i've taken french every year since the sixth grade, so i'm okay at that, but i freeze up if prompted for an actual conversation because i have to think about the grammar in my mind first before spitting anything out. i'd love to achieve actual fluency in cantonese or french, of course, but no school actually teaches cantonese, so. i'd also love to learn japanese or russian just because, and korean so i can watch kdramas without having to wait for subs first ehehehehe.
♦ pets
i have a dog and a cat, jetson and lisa, respectively. i used to have another cat, jonah, but he died very recently in 2011 of unknown reasons, so. :\ i loved jonah the best of the two cats, ahahha. and now i love jet the best because lisa drools too much.
♦ favorite animal
i like deer a lot. but i don't really have a favorite animal? if it's cute and fluffy, i'll dig it. if it's cute and vicious, i'll dig it but stay the fuck away from it.
♦ where do you see yourself in five years?
um, well. i would like (right now, anyway) to be in grad school, ahahaha, because i don't see myself functioning very well outside of an academic environment. but in five years, i'd like to have grown into myself a little more and to have gotten better at social interactions because they scare the fuck out of me right now. :| i'd also like to travel in the next five years, maybe do a little backpacking with a buddy or two through a continent. europe would be nice, but asia's awesome too. :3

grey-a is what i identify as when people want more than just "asexual" or teehee at the word because they don't take it seriously HAHA. i don't think it's strange to like/read/whatever porn while identifying as asexual bc i do it too!! i am actually really fascinated by sexuality and took a bunch of sexuality courses in college solely bc i didn't understand it myself, and i find that fic/sex in the media is the same as those courses for me. although i imagine people would laugh if i told them i read nc-17 fic bc it interests me academically :(

i really love posts like these! ❤ lots of people don’t like talking about themselves at such lengths but i really like it because most of the time i only get little slices of what their life is like when i’m just getting to know them so it’s nice to see something more in depth! i also really want to travel within the next few years, i’ve been to a lot of europe already but i’m saving up going to asia till i’m 21 (blatantly just so i can get drunk there and smoke all the time and buy weird hentai dvds fhddkh)
